Bed Size Guide Singapore: Single, Super Single, Queen & King Dimensions
Every standard bed size in Singapore is 190 cm long. A single mattress is 90 × 190 cm (3 ft wide), a super single is 107 × 190 cm (3.5 ft), a queen is 152 × 190 cm (5 ft) and a king is 180 × 190 cm (6 ft). The bed frame is a little bigger than the mattress: our storage and divan frames run 197–214 cm long and up to about 14 cm wider than the mattress, so a queen bed takes up roughly 157 × 205 cm of floor space. Designer beds with large headboards can be bigger, up to about 240 cm long.

*Width × length range across the storage and divan bed frames on TheFurniture.com.sg, measured October 2026. Designer beds with wide upholstered headboards are larger: designer queens are 160–240 cm wide and 204–240 cm long. Each product page lists the exact size. Some mattress brands make singles 91 cm and kings 183 cm wide; if you are bringing your own mattress, check it against the frame size.
Single bed size
A single bed in Singapore takes a 90 × 190 cm mattress (3 ft × 6.2 ft). With the frame, it takes up about 92–104 cm by 197–214 cm of floor space. Singles suit children, small study rooms and guest rooms, and are the size used for most pull-out and double-decker beds.
Super single bed size
A super single bed in Singapore is 107 × 190 cm (3.5 ft × 6.2 ft), which is 17 cm wider than a single. The frame takes up about 107–118 cm by 197–214 cm. It is a popular size for teenagers and adults who sleep alone, and it still leaves room for a wardrobe and study table in a typical HDB common bedroom.
Queen size bed dimensions
A queen size bed in Singapore is 152 × 190 cm (5 ft × 6.2 ft). The frame takes up about 152–163 cm by 197–214 cm. Two people sharing a queen each get 76 cm of width, a little less than a single bed each. Queen is the most common choice for HDB and condo master bedrooms.
King size bed dimensions
A king size bed at TheFurniture is 180 × 190 cm (6 ft × 6.2 ft); some brands make it 183 cm wide. The frame takes up about 181–193 cm by 197–214 cm. Two people sharing a king each get 90 cm of width, the same as a single bed each, which makes it the better choice if you sleep with a child or pet.
What size bed fits my room?
Leave at least 60 cm of walking space beside the bed and at the foot so you can get in and out and open wardrobe doors. Using the typical frame sizes above, the smallest comfortable room for each bed is:
| Bed size | Walkway on both sides | One side against the wall |
|---|---|---|
| Single | 2.2 × 2.7 m | 1.6 × 2.7 m |
| Super single | 2.3 × 2.7 m | 1.7 × 2.7 m |
| Queen | 2.8 × 2.7 m | 2.2 × 2.7 m |
| King | 3.1 × 2.7 m | 2.5 × 2.7 m |
Room width × length, rounded up, with the headboard against a wall. Add space for bedside tables (usually 40–50 cm each). For designer beds, use the size on the product page.
How to measure before you buy
- Measure the wall where the headboard will go and the distance to the opposite wall.
- Subtract 60 cm for each walkway you need, then compare with the frame footprint on the product page.
- For lift-up storage beds, check there is room to raise the base without hitting a window ledge or shelf.
- Check that wardrobe doors and drawers can open fully once the bed is in.

Mattress thickness and bedsheets
Mattresses on TheFurniture.com.sg are 20–35 cm thick. Thicker pillow-top and latex mattresses need deep-pocket fitted sheets, and they sit higher on storage beds, so check the headboard height if you like to sit up in bed.

Bed size FAQ
What are the standard bed sizes in Singapore?
Singapore uses four standard bed sizes, all 190 cm long: single (90 × 190 cm), super single (107 × 190 cm), queen (152 × 190 cm) and king (180 × 190 cm, or 183 cm wide with some brands).
What is the size of a super single bed in Singapore?
A super single mattress is 107 × 190 cm, or 3.5 ft wide. With the bed frame, a super single takes up about 107–118 cm by 197–214 cm of floor space.
What are the dimensions of a queen size bed in Singapore?
A queen mattress is 152 × 190 cm, or 5 ft wide. A queen bed frame takes up about 152–163 cm by 197–214 cm.
How big is a king size bed in Singapore?
A king mattress is 180 × 190 cm (6 ft wide) at TheFurniture; some brands make it 183 cm wide. A king bed frame takes up about 181–193 cm by 197–214 cm.
Should I buy a single or a super single bed?
Choose a single (90 cm) for young children or very small rooms. A super single (107 cm) gives a teenager or adult 17 cm more width and still fits most HDB common bedrooms.
Queen or king: which fits an HDB master bedroom?
A queen bed needs a room about 2.8 m wide to leave a 60 cm walkway on both sides; a king needs about 3.1 m. If your master bedroom is narrower than 3.1 m, a queen usually leaves more space for wardrobes and bedside tables.
Is there a double bed size in Singapore?
Double is not a standard size in Singapore. The UK double is 135 × 190 cm; in Singapore the closest sizes are the super single (107 cm) and the queen (152 cm).
Is a bed frame bigger than the mattress?
Yes. A storage or divan bed frame is usually 197–214 cm long and up to about 14 cm wider than its mattress. Designer beds with large headboards can be up to 240 cm long. Use the frame size, not the mattress size, when planning your room.
